The Indexed CartiGen bioreactor chamber for tissue research wasdesigned to apply oscillatory compressive stimulation to 1 or multiple discshaped samples.  Designed for use withthe TC mechanical stimulator, it includes the following features:

·         12individual bioreactor chambers

·         Maximumsample size: 20 mm diameter by 10 mm thick. Check with TGT if multiple specimens are to be considered for thechamber.

·         All chambercomponents are bio-inert and of materials that can be steam sterilized at 121 oC and 17-20 psi.

·         Chamber canbe customized for individual sample wells to accommodate different media conditions

·         Media volume– 15 ml

·         To facilitategas exchange, the chambers feature a clear, gas permeable silicone membraneintegrated with the lid as well as a 0.2 micron filter connected via a luerfitting

CartiGen C10-12 Bioreactor Chamber   The CartiGen bioreactor chamber for tissue research was designedto apply oscillatory compressive stimulation to multiple disc shapedsamples.  Designed for use with the TCmechanical stimulator, it includes the following features:

·         Bioreactorchamber provides oscillatory compressive stimulation of up to 12 samples

·         Chambers canbe populated with fewer than 12 samples

·         Maximumsample size: 8 mm diameter by 5 mm thick

·         All chambercomponents are bio-inert and of materials that can be steam sterilized at 121 oC and 17-20 psi.

·         Chamber canbe customized for individual sample wells to accommodate different media conditions

·         Each wellholds up to 2 ml of media

·         Each chambercan be adapted to deliver specific static compression for control samples.

·         Unique bellows seal enables mechanical motion input to the samplecompartment while preserving the biological environment and motionfidelity. 

·         Each chamberaccommodates viewing of the construct from the bottom via an inverted confocalmicroscope.

CartiGen C9-x Bioreactor Chamber  The CartiGen Bioreactor chamber fortissue research was developed to apply axial stimulation to multiple discshaped samples.  This chamber includeodifications to the standard to accommodate directed sample perfusion.  Designed for use with the TC MechanicalStimulator, it includes the following features

·         Bioreactor chamber providing oscillatory compressive stimulation of upto 9 tissue samples.  Remaining 3 samplewells will be modified to accommodate perfusion loop and will not be availablefor sample placement.

·         Chambers canbe populated with fewer than 9 samples

·         Maximum sample size - 8mm diameter by 5mm thick

·         All chamber components are bio-inert and of materials that can be steamsterilized at 121 oC and 17 - 20 psi.

·         Each well holds up to 2ml of media

·         Each chamber can be adapted to deliver specific static compression forcontrol samples

·         Unique diaphragm seal enables mechanical motion input to the samplecompartment while preserving the biological environment and motion fidelity.

·         Perfusion Modification: Porous platen integrated with bottom of thechamber permits perfusion through the constructs. Flow is directed but notconfined through the construct.
