Circus is eminently suitable for demanding work in beauty parlours, clinics and laboratories or as a tool for people with impaired vision. Circus has a large lens and patented highly flexible self-balancing arm and shade neck. The shade-neck can be positioned horizontally, vertically and laterally making the luminaire extremely flexible.
Circus has been chosen to become part of the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, in Oslo.
Circus is the most advanced illuminated magnifier ever designed. It is using a high-intensity 22W circular T5 tube with very good colour rendering capacity. The tube is operated by high-frequency ballast eliminating flickering and prolonging lamp-life.
Circus has a very large “free floating” lens of ø165mm giving a large field of view with a very narrow frame around it. The large lens permits comfortable viewing with both eyes.
A circular light-source is the ideal way of illuminating an object, virtually eliminating shadows.
Carefully calculated reflector optics gives a very high light-intensity at focal distance.
The fully covered spring-balanced arm makes it easy to position the luminaire in the correct position and makes cleaning easy. A hinged lens cover is standard. It protects the lens from dust and prevents the luminaire from inadvertently turn into a burning gl. 2 different swing-away attachment lenses of 4 and 6 diopter are available. They swing out from the lens cover when needed. The clean design fits any interior.
